Poseidon2 3468 hỗ trợ tối đa 8 cảm biến được kết nối qua 1-Wire UNI / 1-Wire và tối đa 4 đầu dò được kết nối với đầu vào kỹ thuật số. Poseidon2 3468 có thể điều khiển 2 đầu ra rơle kỹ thuật số 230 V / 10 A, cũng như tối đa 8 đầu ra kỹ thuật số ảo (VDO) tại các đơn vị Poseidon2 hoặc Damocles2 từ xa (M2M).
Ngoài đầu vào nguồn điện tiêu chuẩn 9–30 V, Poseidon2 3468 có thể được cấp nguồn từ -48 V để dễ dàng sử dụng trong các giải pháp Telco.
Máy chủ web tích hợp được sử dụng để cấu hình. Thiết bị có thể được giám sát từ xa qua internet bằng cổng thông tin Công nghệ SensDesk kết hợp với ứng dụng SensDesk Mobile dành cho iOS và Android. Nó hoạt động với HWg-PDMS và HWg-Trigger.
Các thiết bị Poseidon2 được thiết kế để giám sát và kiểm soát các cảm biến và I/O kỹ thuật số qua mạng bằng các giao thức M2M an toàn (HTTP, IPv6, SNMPv3). Với sự hỗ trợ cho hơn 50 ứng dụng SNMP và SCADA, các thiết bị Poseidon2 có thể được tích hợp trong nhiều hệ thống giám sát và kiểm soát. Giao thức MQTT cho phép tích hợp vào các giải pháp IoT.

- For Ring or SMS alarm use the HWg-Trigger software (external GSM modem required), or a HWg-SMS-GW3 gateway in the same LAN.
- Virtual Digital Outputs (VDO) can be mapped to physical digital outputs (relays) of other Poseidon2 or Damocles2 units on the same LAN.
- With the HWg-PDMS software, S0 pulses can be converted to cost per time period and exported to MS Excel.
- Compatible with a range of third party SW (SCADA etc.). Examples for programmers on using the product are available in the HWg-SDK (Borland C++, MS Visual, VB, C#, PHP, JAVA and more).

- Monitor doors, power supply status, temperature / humidity, dry contacts.

- Remote monitoring of dry contacts, 4-20mA probes or Pt100 / Pt1000 temperature probes. Values are logged to the internal memory.
- Monitoring at –48V telco nodes
- Monitoring of power supply, back-up generators or UPS Fuel level, diesel generator status, remote start over IP, monitoring of temperature and service interface (Dry contacts).
- Pharmaceuticals and food storage– temperature logging
- Monitoring of storage conditions – warehouses, cooling plants, freezers, refrigerators. Application software can create HACCP reports.
